First weekend behind us with equal record

First weekend is over

Seniors team Fighting Flies played last weekend first two Interleague games. After a hard start and Saturday loss agains Érd Aeros 06:11

while we have not avoid lot´s of errors we were successfull on Sunday as we won against 2012 Hungarian Champion Óbuda Wariors

Starting pitcher Šimon Filipovič in his premiere as a starting pitcher was able to hold our opponent on five runs only but our offense was

not able to score more then six runs which was not enough to win. After many errors our rival turned the score to 7:6 and added in the last

inning another four runs as our offense was not able to respond to that. Game ended 11:6 for Érd Aeros.

Sunday was in a better spirit. Thanks to Apollo Bratislava we were able to have a long pre-game batting practice on their practice field. After

first inning we were losing 0:1 but in the second inning we scored three times and from this moment we haven´t let the lead go away from our hands.

Starting pitcher Tomáš Hatala showed his stable form and in sixth inning experienced Michal Šišolák took his place. Both pitchers let Óbuda scored only

four times and our ofense after a shy start added step-by-step fourteen points. Our oponent playing sixteenth inning that day was not able to fight anymore.

Diving catch of Andreas Keller and Boris Heger has to be mentioned as they contributed markedly under our first this year´s victory 14:4

Player of the game : Tomáš Hatala (winning pitcher with 5 strong innings, winning 2 RBI double) 

Forthcoming Saturday is full of games in every category. Interleague team travels to Szentendre for a game agains the home team Sleepwalkers.

First league team Toreros Topoľčany should play doubleheader against White Angels Trnava, but these games are postponed due to the construction

on the field. First time this year our cadet´s team will show up on the field too. They play a doubleheader against Slovan Bratislava on the field

in Podunajské Biskupice.
