Technika Reds – Fighting Flies 6:5

First game of Season 2018 JMOP brought us to Brno for a game against last year´s champion Technika Reds.
Need to say, that we have the lowest Age average of our team in last ten-fifteen years. But guys were not afraid at all.

We started batting first as visitors and scored once in first inning, with no runs from Technika. In second we scored three more, but our opponent did not want to give us the game
so easily and scored twice. In third, the difference was only one run, followed by  two scoreless innings from us. In fifth we scored after Technika´s pitcher balk, but that was it for the game from our side in scoring. In seventh inning Technika pushed hard and after few good hits and couple of our errors scored three times and get in the lead. We didn´t score in last couple innings, even we had runners on bases in scoring positions. After almost three hours we were leaving Brno with a loss, but we believe fans liked it. (as they were cheering for both teams from time to time).

Overall performance from our side was not bad, but there are still things we need to work on. Special thanks to both pitchers: Strapko, Ortega and Martin Gieci for his performance behind the home plate.

Game vs. Foxes Brno (former Hroši C) is scheduled for this Sunday in Devínska Nová Ves. Games are always tight and thrilling. See you at the field!
